A great project that our team has worked on recently has to be that of basement renovation at Gagne Crescent, East of Ottawa, where we performed a basement bathroom renovation for the client. For this project, we had to perform quite a few steps.

The very first task was to make enough space in her existing basement for even half a bathroom. This meant clearing up all the prior taken-up space. Once the cleaning part was done, we decided to leave enough room for a drain to be installed for a corner shower that the client would like in the bathroom at a later date while we were already digging into the concrete foundation.

After this, we started the digging work in the basement concrete to allow for a clean slate where we would work on the project. This was also extremely difficult as the basement already had a few cracks in the wall and floor, so those needed to be addressed before getting started on the bathroom.

Once we started working on the bathroom, we retiled the entire bathroom. The upper half was a plain wall painted peach. For the lower half, we used a dark color-patterned tile. The lower half tiling and the flooring had the same tiles used. Alongside this, we also installed a toilet and a small sink in the bathroom space.

These installations were quite basic and allowed for using the dedicated bathroom area to the maximum utility while also being highly functional. With the changes, the client was happy and hopes to get further renovations done from us, too in the future.
