Absolutely! Bathrooms, kitchens, basements and additions all add value to your home. However, only if they are done right.
Like most renovations, the best time to renovate is during the summer months, mainly because you can air out the dust and you’re not dragging in wet slush into the job site. With that said, there is no bad time for a renovation. If you’re looking for something more cost-effective, the winter months do tend to be cheaper.
Yes, but we prefer that you do at a distance due to our work areas already being confined and hard to maneuver in. Also, we ask that all questions be asked to the estimator/project manager of your job so that he is aware of all that is happening in order to prevent any miscommunication.
No, you do not need to be present while the work is being completed. Depending on your comfort level, we have clients who give us the keys early in the morning before leaving for work and we have clients who prefer to stick around, the choice is yours. When clients leave us a key it is left inside of a real estate type lock box on the jobsite’s front door.

We accept; E-Transfers, Cheques, Cash, Visa and Mastercard.

2 Weeks of work or $12,000 in labour is our minimum project size.

We continually use the same crews to work within our company.

Our service area consists of inside the city of Ottawa. Unfortunately we do not work in the outskirts of Ottawa or in Quebec side (not licensed in QC).
Typically the specialty trades end up being big chunks of the budget. Discussing your budget with a renovation expert will give you a better idea of what you can afford and the steps you can take to minimize the cost.
Remodeling usually involves transforming the layout of the project, which you would require a permit for. Renovating is changing the current state of the interior, with some updated adjustments and replacements.
A permit isn’t typically required to do a basic bathroom or kitchen renovations. However, if you’re looking to move or add any plumbing, electrical or extend your room or make any configurations to the structure of the house, a permit will likely be required. The rule of thumb is if any modifications are being made to the structure or any plumbing/electrical is being relocated, you will likely require a permit for the work.

Our typical project size ranges from $15,000 to $200,000. Usually this consists of only complete projects, such as Bathrooms, Basements, Kitchens and Additions/Coach Houses

Typical complete project cost including all labour, materials & supplies and mid quality fixtures:

Bathroom $18,000 – $25,000 + HST and up (1.5 weeks-3.0 weeks)
Kitchen $20,000 – $30,000 + HST and up (3 weeks-1.5 months)
Basement $25,000 to $60,000 + HST and up (1 to 2 Months)
Additions $40,000 – $200,000 + HST and up ($200 to $225 per square foot) (3 Months to 6 Months)
(Renovation Costs Explained)

Bathrooms – A typical 3 piece bathroom renovation takes 2 to 3 weeks. A typical 4 piece en-suite/master bathroom takes 4-5 weeks

Kitchens – Depending on the size of kitchen, amount of cabinet trim and extent accessories kitchens can take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks. Removing walls (supporting/mechanical) can add another 1 or 2 weeks

Basements – To renovate or finish a 700 SF basement takes anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Adding a bathroom would take an additional 2-4 weeks

Coach Houses – A 500 SF coach house typically takes 3-4 months to build

Cory Girouard Client

We hired RenosGroup for a major kitchen renovation after reading positive online reviews. The best part was that Keith handled everything – no renovation headaches or stress for us, definite value for money. Our new kitchen is something we can enjoy for years to come and we would not hesitate to recommend Renos Group.

Maija Client

My sister recommended Keith. She found him easy to work with, respectful, good humoured and she was right. Keith provided a detailed estimate with costs for product, labour and time broken down for each aspect of the job. Other contractors made this out to be a big job and would not include in estimate but Keith said it would be no problem and included costs in estimate. His experience pays off. I love my new bathrooms and new glass shower.

Kelly Client

Keith and Jose from RenosGroup were professional and easy to work with. The estimate Keith provided was clear, comprehensive and mindful of our budget. His team were very helpful in design consultation and acquiring the right products for our home. The day to day work was done in a manner that was the least disruptive to our everyday life, and the site was left clean each day. The workmanship and end product are great. We have already recommended RenosGroup to others looking for an honest, hardworking contractor.
